The certifications introduced to our country by the Concrete Sustainability Council, promoted by the Turkish Ready-Mixed Concrete Association (THBB), are ongoing. As a result of inspections conducted by KGS, the Certification Body of the Council, the Yenidoğan Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant owned by Albayrak Beton has been certified at the "Gold" level.

International organizations operating in the concrete and cement sectors came together in 2013 to develop a responsible sourcing certification system. Consequently, the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC), headquartered in Switzerland, was established in 2016. In 2017, the Turkish Ready-Mixed Concrete Association (THBB) became a member of the Council and achieved the status of "Regional System Operator." Additionally, the Quality Assurance System (KGS), the most effective institution in concrete quality inspection, was appointed as the "Certification Body."

The CSC introduces a globally recognized product "Certification System" for the concrete sector and its components, such as cement and aggregates. The Council provides an opportunity for concrete, aggregate, and cement producers to have their sustainability-focused efforts rewarded through a reliable, independent, and data-driven certification system. The CSC Certification System evaluates producers under the main categories of Management, Environment, Economy, and Social aspects in terms of sustainability. This ensures that producers achieve high standards in sustainability. Producers awarded this certificate gain significant advantages, especially in Green Building Rating systems, which have gained increasing importance in recent years.

For 36 years, THBB has been working to ensure the production of concrete that meets standards and the proper application of concrete in construction projects in Turkey. It continues its intensive efforts for companies applying for certification under the "Responsible Sourcing System."

In this context, Albayrak Beton applied for the certification of its Yenidoğan Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant. Following inspections conducted by KGS, the Certification Body of the Council, the Yenidoğan Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant of Albayrak Beton was certified at the "Gold" level on May 11, 2024.
